do you still use yellow legal pads for writing or has technology replaced them ?
I remember reading that he said he scribbled song lyrics on legal pads and with even 2 yr olds today embracing technology, I wanted to know if he had changed his writing habits to be faster, more mobile, etc
here's what Neil Diamond tweeted back to me.

@jbaldini The legal pad is a necessity for me, I can write, cross out and change faster than a computer and doesn't require electricity.

My own writing habits have been both in the files on my laptop and the old standby nostalgic composition notebook with a pack of yellow sharpened pencils.

Writers have different rituals they follow.
Some only write a certain time of day.
Some in a certain location.
I knew a writer who had a lucky sweater, if he didn't have it, he didn't write that day.

What's your MO for writing ?
